Sustainability and Circular Economy

In the years ahead the need to shape a robust sustainability agenda that addresses both social and environmental imperatives is obvious. The fashion industry is committed to reduce its negative impact on the environment. Global warming needs to be stopped. Biodiversity and natural ecosystems need to be restored.  Oceans and water streams must not be impacted by wastewater of the industry.

Jazzy Jobber contributes to these efforts by offering fabrics and products that support sustainability and a circular economy:

Long Lasting and durable:

Our Loden and Linen is tightly woven and can be used for years to come. Wool and Linen are sturdy natural materials and last for a long time. Our timeless designs create lasting value for generations to come.

Sustainable Manufacturing and Sourcing

Jazzy Jobber takes the responsibility of sustainable manufacturing seriously. We do our best to guarantee that all used materials are from sustainable sources. We avoid the use of chemicals and hazardous materials. We work closely with our suppliers and provide a transparent relationship.

Ethical Manufacturing

Jazzy Jobber works with a limited number of family owned businesses in Germany and Austria. These companies have a long tradition in providing excellent employer relationships and benefits. European laws make sure that people are treated fairly and get paid well. In addition, our suppliers practice traditional craftsmanship. There are only a few companies for example that still roughen their fabric with thistles. Sustainability also means preserving values. Using traditional techniques and skills keeps craftsmanship alive and creates unique products.

Easy to clean

Wool and linen fabrics are easy to clean without polluting water streams with microfibers. A lot of your products can be washed cold and dried in the air.

Repairable

Natural fabrics like wool and linen can be easily mended and repaired. Because of the higher value of the product repairing should be preferred over discarding.

Circular and recyclable

Wool and linen are natural fibers that can continuously be looped back into the product system. The fibers can be recovered after a product has reached its end of use and recycled into new yarns. Even in case the product is discarded, the natural fibers organically decompose without creating hazardous waste.
